Shaq mumbles bad... I can't ever understand him.
Lowest number of 4th quarter points in a Final.... nice Dallas.
Shaq mumbles bad... I can't ever understand him.
boys, we got a series! there is alot of ball left to play but i like the fight i am seeing from miami. go heat!
Horrible game by Dallas all the way around...Dirk and Josh disappeared, terrible shooting by everyone, and turnovers galore. Miami played well and glad to see DWade's knee injury wasn't much of an injury at all considering all the drama leading up to the game. Game 5 will determine which way the series goes. Hopefully Dallas shows up this time.
Shaq said one of the smartest things I have ever heard him say on the flagrant foul on stackhouse "ahh I have been the league for a long time now and that is how it use to be, players getting hit hard to the ground; just getting up and back to playing"
come on nba go back to the original "offense wins games, defense wins championships" era
That was our defensive record, wasn't it? Damn you Mavericks!![]()
Yyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
Just 2 More Fricking Games And The le Will Belong To The City Of Miami!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!
This is so awesome! How does it feel Mav's fans, now that you got a taste of a real whoopin! You got beat by 24 - that's more than the margin of victory in game 2 of the Spurs-Mavs series.
GO HEAT!!
Hopefully Heat show up again with this intensity. I see doubt in the Maverick faces. That block by Alonzo that sent Dirk crashing to the floor is what the Spurs should have done with Mohammed. Maybe Dirk thinks twice about going inside and flopping when it starts to hurt.
I love it. I thought the Heat would lose tonight for sure but they made believers out of me. The home team looks damn good in each game and the road team can't do much of anything.
I think the record belongs to the Bulls, who held the Jazz to 9 in the 4th in Game 3 of the 1998 Finals.
edit: you were right, the Spurs also held the record -- 2nd quarter of Game 3 of the 2003 Finals.
Jazz and Nets shared that record.
And lost the finals....
Ah, you're right we tied the Bulls by holding NJ to 9 points, but that was in the second quarter of game 3 of that series.
its funny but when it was clearly on the replay that shaq didnt foul dirk in game 3 during the 1st quarter mav fans argued that "it was too close to tell if their was contact made"
then you must be blinded by the fact that the nuggets haven't done in the playoffs and have never reached the finals let alone win 3 championships as the spurs have
nah...i accept it and move on, unlike some spurs fans![]()
Good lord...I wasn't one of them. Shaq didn't foul him in game 3 or in game 4 where Dirk landed on his foot.
Ballhog was the one who resorted to calling me an idiot and somehow inferred from my post I was calling it a foul. I like most of you guys on this site but the knee-jerking ones who only see the Mavericks below my screen name just bother me...just like the Mavs trolls bother you.
a majority of the spurs fans have accepted the loss to the mavs, I know I have, we just question things that could have been and how we can improve in the future. Hence why since the day after the series we were looking up possible free agents that could improve on the problems we had against the mavs, such as Robertas Javtokas (basically one of the best rebounders, shot blocking Centers in Europe) and bringing in an athletic SF
Cool! A reporter from Serbia at the post game press conference.![]()
A.J. has a strange face- some of his expressions.![]()
Dallas doesn't complain and just plays???!?!??!
Avery, pffftttttttt![]()
I thought after Game 2 vs. SA, I'd never see a game where the officials tried to hand the game to the Mavs... then Game 5 vs. the Suns came along and two questionable technicals shifted the whole momentum of the game - bam, Mavs win... then tonight comes along and at the end of the 3rd and beginning of the 4th, there's about 900 offensive fouls and typical "can't breathe near Dirk" calls... too bad Dallas squandered it by shooting around 30% for the game...
I've never seen a "superstar" fall to the ground so hard on minimal contact and not even make an attempt at the basket before I saw the Dirk of Playoffs 2006... for all those fans of Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, and Sacramento that complain about Ginobili "selling" the call, at least he sells it and gets a 3 point opportunity out of it... I guess Dirk was just trying to break MJ's total FTs made in one playoffs so he's decided to get 2 at the line every time...
Name one time the entire game there was a "breath on dirk" call. Only a phoenix bandwagon fan would find ways to complaing after the team that knocked them out lost.
