Thats a really, really cool thing they are doing on American Idol.
Hopefully they are able to be really, really successful in what they are going after. And hopefully they dont just focus on Lousiana here in the states, that would really be a bit dissapointing and deplorable.

Two seperate media basically. Its not just about singing on this show, its a combo of the two. Doughtry never really got to that true wow entertainment factor week in and week out. Hicks did.

I dont think being a "performer" or how you act on stage should be a factor.

IMHO, it is all a matter of opinion and what your personal preference is. Heck, most of the time the three stooges don't even agree amongst themselves. And while it is a singing compe ion that is not entirely what the judges base it on. If that were the case they'd just have the singers sing behind a damn curtain. But it takes a "performance" to impress the judges.
