Other than Elson (and White I suppose), I can't think of too many Spurs that would be good targets on the back end of the lob. Manu, Brent, TD and that's requiring an almost perfect pass.
TD has been the receipient of the lob most often, so he's good enough at it. Elson, Barry, Finley, White, and Manu are all athletic enough...

Thats why I said they werent used to throwing them. TD cant jump, and niether can Brent really. White seems the only alternative for the lob, maybe Manu, if Manu could throw one to himself
Manu needs to throw the lob off the backboard to himself on a fast break sometime. Preferably with a 20+ point lead. Just to see what shade Pop's face turns after witnessing that.

They can get up there, but they aren't going to be making adustments on the ball if it's not a perfect pass. Guys like Kobe and VC can adjust to the ball in mid air if it's a little off target, and I don't see any of the Spurs you mentioned doing that. Therefore, that requires a perfect pass and as such isn't a very high percentage play when you have TP lobbing them off the backboard or a foot over the rim.

James White is a 100% career FT shooter, best in the league. He also shoots 75% career FG.

    Hall of Fame.

His career needs to go into the "4 corners" strategy to preserve these numbers.

Probably true. Although, don't take the Hornets for granted. They have beat the Rockets 3 times this year.

...but we did get our asses handed to us tonight.

Damn!!! I thought Sean Elliott was just being a huge Homer when he said:

If David Robinson had the vertical of James White, he'd definitely be able to touch the shot clock
    or something similar to that.

I know he's not physically "big" enough, but can you imagine him once in a blue moon getting a rejection on someone like Yao with that freakish vertical?
