I am far from mormon but you are a complete idiot for saying he incited a gun fight. He was in jail (with his brother I think) and a mob stormed the jail and shot him multiple times while he was locked in a jail cell.
The only facts that I know that show him as a little "off" was when that town he was the mayor of's (I forget the name) newspaper printed something bad about him he went crazy and destroyed the printing press and threw the writer in jail... correct me if im wrong please.
