I want to and I am thinking about it, but I will be on baby watch that week. I also don't know if my wife can sit there that long.
Damn, that show is going to be at the AT&T Center?! That seems like an inappropriate venue choice in terms of size. I hope the fighters get paid.
It seems like Brandon McDowell fights on every local card that comes up. He's already fought 3 times in September!

Eastman off UFC 77 card due to eye surgery...
http://mmajunkie.com/2007/09/18/eye-...com-exclusive/
and Hamill fought Bisping with a torn ACL apparently...explains why he had the gameplan that he came out with. The rematch will be delayed, probably for a year or so.

I still think Bisping is the better fighter. I really do think he has a great future ahead of him.
However...not at LHW so much.
Yea, he'd be above avg at MW, which is a fairly weak division. He'll get manhandled by the top LHW's right now...
I don't agree with that one ON mw. In my opinion he will end up being on of the best guys out of TUF.
Added to UFC 78...
-Tamdan McCrory vs Akihiro Gono
Gono is an odd signing to me...considering all the guys they haven't signed from Pride...
Big Nog vs Frank Mir at UFC 79?
http://mmajunkie.com/2007/09/19/repo...rigo-nogueira/
or Mir vs Kongo??
http://www.ufcdaily.com/2007/09/19/u...-cheick-kongo/
I don't know which to believe.. Trigg's show? I don't know if Mir is ready for Nog yet. Kongo doesn't have a good ground game and would allow Mir to try out a few things on the feet to see where he is at, because he should be able to dominate on the ground. As long he doesn't KO'd, he should win the Kongo fight. Now, the Nog fight is definitely more interesting -- two BJJ guys. I think Nog is better on the feet though.
I think Hero's slogan "Stop the UFC" has more to do with it than UFC not wanting to sign the other guys. Hero's is signing a ton of guys -- either outbidding or some other reason -- than UFC. I think Dana is making excuses when he isn't able to sign them. E.g., Kang went to Hero's, but was in talks with the UFC. Dana said he wasn't a big deal. I doubt the UFC didn't care to sign him, they just were going to pay what Hero's was.

Quick, everybody do the dance of joy with me. What a good fight that's going to be.
Yes it will!
And Penn vs Stevenson for LW le at UFC 79 is the word now too...

About UFC 79: Joe Stevenson and BJ Penn will fight in Dec if Sherk is suspended, I think it came from both camps. It's prelim based on Sherk's hearing Oct. 31.
As fars as Sprawl's attempts, they look great.
Hughes/Serra
BJ Penn/Joe Stevenson
Wanderlei/Houston Alexander
Shogun/Nakamura (starting from scratch with Shogun)
Werdum/Cheick Kongo
Great card and great test for Houston, although like you said, I still think Chuck should have this fight if he isn't medically suspended. If Chuck is medically suspended, I'd give it a go.
Forrest/Rampage
Lyoto/Jardine
Chuck/Hendo
Mark Hunt (rumored to be on the verge of signing)/Arlovski - #1 contender
Gonzaga/[winner of Vera/Sylvia]
Should Forrest get the next le shot? It's hard to say yes to, but who should he fight next? A rematch between Jardine and Forrest for le contention could be good. I wouldn't disagree if he did get the le shot though. Lyoto/Jardine could be a good matchup and maybe give Lyoto his first exciting match. I think Hendo would own Chuck. AA and Hunt would be exciting, I think. GG v Vera/Sylvia winner would also be fun to watch.
Randy/Fedor [or Nogueira, or whatever they cobble together if he won't sign]
Brock Lesnar/Cro Cop
Fitch/[loser of Hughes/Serra]?
Randy vs Fedor I see and WOULD LOVE to see this fight. A brutal win by Fedor, or another bad Pride showing. However, I don't believe Nogueira should get an automatic le shot. Nog should have to go through Vera and Sylvia, but he might get it before his contract is up. Brock Lesnar / Cro Cop, I'm not interested in CC's fights anymore. I though Fitch should fight Karo and the winner of that gets the next shot at the le. Loser fights the Hughes/Serra loser.
The rest are dependent on winners and losers, etc.
I like a lot of those...
Alexander vs Forrest really intrigues me...and Jardine vs Wanderlei...
