Don't be too hard on Kobe mono, the guys been playing great
What do you mean?
The other teams they played werent as good, it was easier to score against them. A lot of those games they had or were approaching 100 through 3 quarters. I also think the US probably has a lot of respect for the Argentina team

I was told by an Argentinian this was a meaningless game. Do you agree?
Who cares about Kobe as much as you do Mono...seriously...
It's all about TEAM USA bro....
he's been awesome. let's hope he keeps his God-complex at home and stays that way.
we'll see how long it lasts before he decides that it needs to be The Kobe Show again.
I wouldn't look so much for statements out of this game. Both teams were qualified for the real championship, which starts on Saturday.
Argentina played a decent game, avoiding too many fastbreak points. Maybe our starters played too much (when Scola went down I started cursing a lot). It was a nice experience for some players that would never play against NBA caliber opposition if not for the national team. We played our basketball and it was nice, maybe missed too many 3-pointers.
And that leads me to my only complain, Delfino. Like I said, I know Hernandez gives him the green light to shoot, but this is getting ridiculous. If the coach wants Delfino's self-believe back, he should tell him to take more open shots rather than fadeaways with 3 seconds left in the shot clock.
How many blocks did Scola get in his game tonight? I'm wondering if he got enough to where he's now averaging more BPG than Jason Kidd.
I thought Denial was in Africa...and the Amazon was in S. America...
Guess I was wrong.
You guys are going to get owned in the 08 Olympics...surely you know this?
You aren't going to be playing a team that's only been together for 2 weeks this time around...but we will![]()
Only time will tell, and besides Argentina full strength is a really tough team, they are talented, play with a lot of balls and have crazy chemistry...they are more than capable of beating USA, and if you don’t think so, go yourself.
I'll be impressed if Argentina wins the silver.
You had a great generation of players...but it's over, at least as far as the Olympics are concerned. See you in 50 years.
Oh...and...
Go this:

So if someone doesn't see things the way you want them to...its go yourself.Only time will tell, and besides Argentina full strength is a really tough team, they are talented, play with a lot of balls and have crazy chemistry...they are more than capable of beating USA, and if you don’t think so, go yourself.
Way to be open-minded!![]()
This USA team seems very disrespectful of it's opponents and is way too y of a team. I kind of almost wish they DON'T win and a team like Argentina or Spain knocks them off in the Olympics. They don't deserve to be put in the same sentence as "The Dream Team" or even put in history as the team that brought the gold back to the US. Aside from J Kidd, this is a mish-mesh group of players.
Oh and if other teams are smart, they'd see that while the USA team's perimeter defense is great, courtesy of Kobe, Kidd and Company, the interior defense is quiet weak with Amare/Howard/Melo in the middle. More teams can exploit this.
Ok,watched the game last night and got to these conclutions:
1st.:This USA team is the best possible team they can put together.
2nd:they can win the Olympics
3rd:If they play with this kind of arrogance, the Argentinian,Spanish,French and Servian A fully loaded teams can beat the out of them, not because they arent telented, just because they understimate others.
Seriusly, they couldnt even score 100 pts to the Argentinian C team, for being just diks and arrongants.
I guess they´ll find that out in the Olympics, when all teams will be loaded like they are right now.
Scola 20 Pts and 5 Rbs in just 18 minuntes against us!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU SPURS THANK YOU !!!!!!
SCOLA IS A MONSTER![]()

I would rather Argentina win gold again in 08... just for Manu and Fabricio...
I hate almost every player on the US team.
Scola sucks ass.
Good thing the FO traded him for a bag of peanuts.
I'm curious.
Why is it that when a US player shows enthusiasm or makes an athletic play, its arrogance but when other players from other countries do it...its passion or beautiful basketball?
you´re confusing enthusiasm with arrogance and sarcasmn.
But that´s ok these kids will learn the bad way in the Olympics when the rest of the teams are loaded like they are today.
is he? maybe you're the one confused.
So when an American does it, its arrogance but when someone else does it, its enthusiam.
Nice double standard.
The US team could walk the ball up every time, shoot nothing but layups and jumpers and never crack a smile and you would still find them "arrogant" because of your pre-determined prejudice against American ball players, and probably Americans in general. I have seen European and Latin American ball players do THE EXACT SAME THING as American ball players and not once have any of them been called arrogant.
You accuse Americans of arrogance and bad sportsmanship, yet you are guilty of the same. ...you even brought up Iraq (with a Q by the way) for the sole purpose of anti-American hate.
Carlos Arroyo was doing the exact same thing when Puerto Rico beat the USA in 04....he was poppin' his jersey and beatin his chest and all that....nobody that I know of called it arrogant, it was just showing pride in his team getting a win, especially against the US.
So tell me what was that pass off the glass from midcourt from Kidd to D.Howard???
keep that to the Circus rutine, not international tournaments, where YOU KNOW,your playing nobody.
I would like to see Kidd make that pass to a Loaded Argentinian team in the 4rd down by 2.![]()
