Agree. All I can do is hope he comes back in time. But if it possibly harms his future career, let him sit it out. This is only one year, there will be many more Championships to be won. Could be the return of another Laker Dynasty and the Lakers shouldn't jeopardize that.

I agree the Celtics are the team to beat if the Lakers don't have Bynum...probably 70% chance of Celtic win and 50/50 chance of not even making it out of the WCF.

If Bynum comes back and is 60% of his old self, then Lakers have a 50/50 chance at beating the Celtics and a possible chance of not advancing past WCF.

If Bynum plays in WCF and is 90-100% of his old self, Lakers for sure win WCF and I think it swings in favor of the Lakers 60/40 in the Finals.

Perkins did a number on Bynum earlier. No way he can do it now that we have (hypothetically) Bynum and Gasol. It'll be a great series if it comes down to that, but I think we're getting way ahead of ourselves.
