I don’t want anyone that bad on defense on the court, not even off the bench,
Kispert is in the Dougie Buckets mold and Dougie barely got playing time before long. It's a type the Spurs seem to have eliminated from their wish list.

So no trade announcements even today. Sounds like the offseason is over

Denver has informed Jonas Valanciunas' reps that the franchise fully intends to have him honor his contract as the Nuggets view Valanciunas as a critical center addition to back up Nikola Jokic and play alongside him. Greek team Panathinaikos pursued Valanciunas in recent days.
So does Jonas want to play with Panathinaikos? Was he talking to them before being traded? Maybe he'll change his mind now and want to play for the Nuggets?
Spurs are currently getting a lot of flack online for not donating anything to the flood victims. Gotta keep that cash considerations money in the bank.
The donations are just going into Donnie's pockets.
Are the Rocket n mavs not teams in Tx?
Add Chris Paul to the list of players who after playing with the spurs no other teams were all that interested.
I remember when it was the other way around. Barnes will probably be out of the league after next season.
It takes talent to come up with all these dumbass takes. Kudos.
not just “dumbass”, but banal and humorless as well.
Are the Spurs getting a lot of flack online... or is just this Quan Wick guy? He's like if you took the worst of SpursTalk and put it on HGH
The Spurs will likely do something, like they always do... getting mad that they didn't lead with a $ figure before the full extent of the damage is even known seems like outrage in search of a home.
It's all performative. They want attention, or like I said, they're trying to funnel money into certain pockets. I mean, FEMA money is getting redirected to build the concentration camps in the Everglades, there's no reason to give money to the Texas state or national government at this point. It's liable to be stolen. Quan Wick is probably working for them.

Rollins, a 2022 second-rounder, joined the Bucks on a two-way contract in Feb. 2024 and spent most of 2024-25 on a two-way before receiving a standard deal in March. He opted for a rest of season contract, became an unrestricted free agent and now is rewarded with a $12M deal.

Free agent guard Ryan Rollins has agreed to a three-year, $12 million deal to return to the Milwaukee Bucks, with a player option in the third season, agents Mike Silverman and Brandon Grier of Equity Sports tell ESPN.
Great now what! Lol I’m surprised the spurs didn’t just reward David Duke with a minimum deal
That sucks
strange thing is Kornet didn’t officially sign today
That give me a little hope for something more....
Has the Anfernee Simons trade gone thru? I know there’s been talk of the Celtics potentially re-routing him somewhere maybe the spurs are involved somehow, not for Simon’s but for an unwanted contract or something.
Spurs may be waiting on Kornet to determine if they can/cant frontload his deal
if they are able to use the rest of their MLE they may be able to preserve the BAE for use next year. If they have no use for the rest of the MLE then may as way front load it
with that said i don’t know what free agent would even justify it based on who is left. Melton is nice but probably will want a more prominent role. Coffey is solid offensively but not really worth much as he doesn’t defend.
I don’t feel there is a realistic free agent that would be worth adding tbh it’s a wasteland out there besides the restricted guys
Crazy that a foreign league team can negotiate with someone under contract. And crazier that Jonas or Panathinaikos thought an NBA team would just acquiesce and release him/buy him out.
I don't totally get why a foreign league has to abide by an athletic contract in another country. If a player wants to walk away from a contract, he should be able to. It's not slavery.
the leagues have agreements with one another aimed to prevent players from hopping around while under contract. contracts typically have buyout provisions in them if a player wants to leave for a different league. the receiving team is allowed to pay up to some set amount, dont know the exact numbers.
imaging trading 5 first round picks for donovan mitc thinking you have him under contract for several years and then some ing club from the UAE offers mitc 75m per year to go play there and he just packs his bags and leaves. creates all kinds of problems
I get that, to some degree, and we see it all the time in soccer, but... it's also just more cartel behavior that seems easy to abuse. I wonder what will happen as more players decide to leave the NBA. It's not a situation they're used to be in.
