Spurs can wait. Signing Aldridge would eliminate a good half-decade of slow decline and mediocrity post-Duncan, which is what once upon a time in the back of our minds we expected.
As much as Spurs fans , Aldridge on the team through the 2018-19 season would put the Spurs in a position to have made the playoffs for 29 out of 30 straight seasons (not to mention extend the championship window). What other franchise in modern professional sports has had such a streak?

Every spurs fan including duncan knows duncan has played center 80% for the past 3 years.
