I thought you gave that up.
A litter bit o' both.
I thought you gave that up.
I gave up cigarettes.
And, I fought the urge about 10 times tonight.
I'm proud of myself.
The drinking, however . . . well, that's gonna take a bit more work.
So what was your poison tonight? Mine was just beer last night. Tomorrow will be more beer for a birthday party I have to go to. Then next week is my birthday and everyone is buying me all kinds of different things.I will be out of commission the rest of the weekend, methinks.
I'll have to get you something for your birthday.
Research!!!!
Anyway, I've been drinking Bud Ice al night. It's a trip down memory lane, way back to the mid 90s. I still remembe the penguin commercials.
It didn't hurt that it was 5.99 for a 12 pack either.
Wow, that's a great price for that beer! I used to chug those cus it supposedly had a higher alcohol content then go to the bars with my friends so that in case we couldn't sneak some beers past the bartender (we were underage) we at least had a buzz already. Good times!
I also had some tequila given to me by my cousins father-in-law.
And you don't have to get me anything for my birthday. You barely know me![]()
He likes that I have family in Monterrey, where he's from.
What kind of tequila? I love me some tequila.
So, he always gives me some liquor everytime I see him.
I got some Hornitos Tequila and it's almost gone.
Hornitos.
But, my favorite is Tres Generaciones.
And, you need to respond to your PMs.
I have family in Monterrey. Everytime they came to visit, they would start talking in Spanish about how my grandma was a ty housekeeper with bad taste in furniture and a terrible cook.
Sad part is they were right![]()
Oh, I have to get you something.
Very fine choices. And I will get to my PMs when I ing feel like it. I don't like being told what to do.
I think I already know what you want to "give" me.
My family/friends is from the Mitrias Centro area by Lincoln & Villa Verde intersection.
I wasn't telling you what to do.
It was more of a plea than anything else.
You have no idea.
I have no idea what part my family is from. My grandma tried very hard to wipe away all traces of our Mexican heritage. No learning Spanish, no celebrating Mexican holidays, nothing. We were American as far as she was concerned. We were the only "Americans" on our block who ate tamales at Christmas and listened to mariachis.
Glad we cleared that up. I will go check my PMs now![]()
That's sad.
I could never end my identification with my people.
I speak spanish and I follow all the traditions, as ty as I may think they are.
I can understand why your grandmother would want to do that, but I just don't think it's right.
This makes me happy.
Firstly, what the shazzbot is going on in here?
Secondly... is there still a fight to join (I'm behind a few pages)?
If so, count me in.
I know not the cause, but imagine that a fight to save The Quattro would include Mel and I on the battle lines engaging in various acts of girl-on-girl depravity. With accessories and special outfits.
And, dammit, that's a fight I'm damn sure going to be a part of.
