I'm always partial to players from the islands. They're just tough and relentless. I would be ecstatic if he chooses Texas.

Malakai, if you're reading this then pick Texas. I say that not as a die hard Longhorn, but as someone who recently lived on the islands and moved to St. Louis. The winter weather here sucks. We're going back to Hawaii. For you, the winter in Ann Arbor will be absolutely dreadful. Stay away.

Not clear at all right now as Texas was considered the leader for Edwards only, and things obviously changed quickly when he visited College Station over the weekend.
Hamilton at OTF mentioned A&M is "playing for keeps" right now, so we'll have to wait a bit and see how the staff responds since they don't go for haymakers in summer recruiting.

We lived there and are moving back in September. I play golf with a local crew and one of them was related to Lefau. That was the connection. All the guys I play with pretty much know everyone on the island in some way or another. They're all someone's "uncle" even if they're not technically related.
Yeah, I remember when Langi was recruiting for Texas and he knew everyone in that community somehow.
