Quotes from QB Kai Locksley of Baltimore, MD after the "Under the Lights" camp (OrangeBloods):
"It was awesome to be able to get out and work in front of the coaches, get to see how they work on the field," Locksley said. "There was a bunch of compe ion here so it was fun to just get out and throw."
"You can definitely see as to why Teddy Bridgewater is the quarterback he is," Locksley said. "(Watson) is a real hands-on coach, he knows his stuff and he gets the best out of you."
"They were just telling me what kind of offense they run, their schemes, how I could help them not only as a passer but also with my feet. He really thinks he could expand me and my knowledge of the game as a quarterback."
"Me and Zach (Gentry), we go way back. We've always had a great relationship," Locksley said. "He's a great friend of mine, so there was definitely some positive, friendly compe ion."
"He just understands that this recruiting process is tough. He's just wishing me the best of luck in hopefully making the right decision."
"With Texas, it's just the timing. They're in need of a quarterback. They stressed to me and that's something I've always dreamed of, to come in as a freshman and be able to compete," Locksley said. "I feel they're in a new era with the new coaches so I feel I can kind of help spark that."
"Florida State, they have a guru of a coach and he's produced tons of first-rounders. Not only that but they just won the national championship so they're going to have a great team behind you."
"Maryland, that's the home town. I'd have a bunch of family and friends there rooting me on. I'd have a great coach there and a coach who would know me better than any other coach in the country."
"I'm going to go back home and kind of digest this visit and hopefully try to make a decision sometime soon," Locksley said after the UT camp. "Publicly I'm going to announce it during my first game. Any time from now until then, I'll tell the coaches where I want to go."
