This CVS in San Antonio?
Went by CVS, they had their vaccination table and check in going, the 3-5 people in the 15 minute post vax waiting period all looked like average aged 30-50yo adults. Looked well organized.
I still see some of my elderly neighbors wearing masks when they are walking or doing yard work, who cares, if it makes em feel better go for it.
Still wear my mask anywhere indoors even tho my antibodies prob thru the roof.

Top Fox producer dies from coronavirus
Eric Spinato, the head booker and senior story editor for the Fox Business Network, died over the weekend, the network said Monday.
Spinato's brother, Dean, wrote on social media that the cause of death had been the coronavirus.
"COVID took my brother today," he wrote. "He was a gem and one of a kind. I'm so broken and lost for words."
Spinato worked at Fox for nearly 20 years. He joined the network in 1998, before briefly leaving in 2004 to work at CNN and MSNBC. He returned to Fox in 2007 and worked at the company ever since, working primarily with Maria Bartiromo.

Weekly positivity rate in Bexar county now 2.3%
Was about to come post this after Nirenberg's press conference. Didn't know the positivity had dropped off that much. Hope we can get the vaccinations out fast enough to keep it there.

Trash' buddy in Brazil is even worse than Trash
Covid: Brazil's daily deaths surpass 3,000 for first time
the virus continues its rapid spread, pushing hospitals close to collapse.
The country has reported 298,676 deaths linked to the virus since the start of the pandemic, with experts saying the situation is virtually out of control.
President Jair Bolsonaro, who has opposed lockdowns and criticised face masks, defended his actions on Tuesday.
Pot-banging protests were held in major cities during his televised address.
The worsening of the Brazilian outbreak is also attributed to the spread of highly contagious variants of the virus.
The president has argued that the collateral damage to the economy brought by restrictions would be worse than the effects of the virus itself, a view shared by many of his supporters.

Ted Cruz plays the heel on TV. IRL, he's kinda wimpy.
Minority communities were hardest hit by spring and summer 2020 COVID waves: CDC
Black and Asian communities had double the reported incidents.

Pish-posh, there's no such thing as racism in the USA anymore, especially if white folks generally don't notice you to begin with.
The virus is racist
Nope. We are.
large Danish reinfection study:

natural protection, especially among older people, cannot be relied on.
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/l...575-4/fulltextDuring the first surge (ie, before June, 2020), 533 381 people were tested, of whom 11 727 (2·20%) were PCR positive, and 525 339 were eligible for follow-up in the second surge, of whom 11 068 (2·11%) had tested positive during the first surge. Among eligible PCR-positive individuals from the first surge of the epidemic, 72 (0·65% [95% CI 0·510·82]) tested positive again during the second surge compared with 16 819 (3·27% [3·223·32]) of 514 271 who tested negative during the first surge (adjusted RR 0·195 [95% CI 0·1550·246]). Protection against repeat infection was 80·5% (95% CI 75·484·5). The alternative cohort analysis gave similar estimates (adjusted RR 0·212 [0·1790·251], estimated protection 78·8% [74·982·1]). In the alternative cohort analysis, among those aged 65 years and older, observed protection against repeat infection was 47·1% (95% CI 24·762·8). We found no difference in estimated protection against repeat infection by sex (male 78·4% [72·183·2] vs female 79·1% [73·983·3]) or evidence of waning protection over time (36 months of follow-up 79·3% [74·483·3] vs ≥7 months of follow-up 77·7% [70·982·9]).
