It's a good short term solution and gives them the flexibility to go after Durant in 2016 when Nene's contract expires...
You do know they have Otto porter grooming for that SF position.

The Wiz are basically the East's great hope. If they flop it's Lebron v. West.

It's just sad when guys get older and start going to different teams that they'll make zero impact on. Ewing, Shaq, Nash, Malone, and a lot of other guys threw away the end of their careers by team hopping and not retiring on the team they spent the majority of their careers with. Pierce is done. Has been for a few years now. He gets crossed over so many times nowadays it's just embarrassing. He needed to either go back to the Celtics, or retire. Instead, he chose to go to a young, athletic team where he'll constantly be mocked for his age, slowness, and regression.

Watch out for the Hawks to be sneaky good next year. People forget that they were missing Horford for basically the entire season. Now they added two solid wing defenders who can both shoot the 3 ball (Bazemore and Sefolosha), and they also gained some big-man depth by drafting Payne. DeMarre Carroll was also surprisingly good last year. I swear Millsap and Horford are two of the most underrated guys in the league.

Teague/Korver/Carroll/Millsap/Horford + a solid bench + Coach Bud. Not saying they'll win the East or anything, but they could be surprise a lot of people. Hopefully D-Rose is healthy and Chicago is a contender as well.

How do Wizards use MLE? They are under the cap, shouldn't they use their cap space?

They re-signed Gortat which took them back over the cap iirc.

If Blair can't get what he feels he's worth under Cuban and Carlisle, who is he going to be able to convince to pay him?

E: wait, I take that back. While GMs like Billy King exist, there's always the chance Blair gets the payday he's looking for.

Popovich and Carlisle agree that he's not worth more than the minimum. That says a lot.

Couldn't agree more. Love what they are doing out there. It's a shame they have the crappiest pro sports fans in the country though (even worse the MIami).

Not bad, Miami will be respectable with a Wade, Deng, Bosh core. They're not winning it all, but will still be a top 4 team in the East.

All the sudden the East is looking better (on paper).

The Wiz are an interesting team. Pierce is a downgrade from last year's Ariza but the rest of the East has gotten weaker at the top. WAS definitely has the talent to win the ECF but they need Wall to make another leap tbh.

I'm hoping the Spurs give Andrew Bynum a training camp invite. I strongly doubt anyone will sign him during free agency.
