Per 24/7, ATH Lil'Jordan Humphrey and 2017 S Robert Barnes of Southlake Carroll will be in Austin on August 1st.
I think CB Obi Eboh could possibly tag along.
Texas' August 9th practice will be open to the public:

2017 QB Sam Ehlinger of Austin Westlake was on local radio today:

Floss me some beef.
Im starvin here.
Kind of slow right now, bud.
What do you want to know?
In case anyone is still wondering, 24/7 confirmed that DT Stephon Taylor of New Orleans, LA did not attend "Under the Lights."
I second this. I want some beef. Preferably a four or five star lineman type of BBQ beef.
Is it just that things with Texas are fairly calm right now or is recruiting in general a little bit slow?
Trumpet any fat guys we are after. I need the hope of actually having an Oline in the future. Some Dline as well. I guess I need to go back and try to figure out which fat guys of consequence we have a chance with.
Update on QB Matthew Merrick and his grayshirt situation (OrangeBloods):
"It's definitely tough right now. There's still a chance I start on August 7 with practice, which I don't think people know," Merrick said.
"I think it comes down to some of those guys who are waiting to hear if they're eligible or not. I don't know the numbers. But I've talked to the coaches and it's not a done deal that I'm going to be a grayshirt, which is tough since practice stats in two weeks."
"I really want to enroll in August. I know in the long run, having an extra six months to let my body develop sounds good, and it could be a good thing. But I just miss playing football, being on a team," Merrick said.
"I'm mentally prepared. I don't have the playbook yet. I've just done my own research - watched the spring game, seen the offense, I've been around football people giving me advice," Merrick said.
Just a reminder that TE Peyton Aucoin of New Orleans, LA will be on campus tomorrow.
It's the kiss of death for sure.
Per OrangeBloods, TE Peyton Aucoin has already arrived in Austin.
Sure seems like it for UT the past couple of years.
Former UT RB commitment, Jordan Stevenson, has been denied admission by Wisconsin.
I don't think LSU has ever signed a recruit that called us their dream school. Adoree Jackson loved it here, but it was just too far from home. There are others I can't think of right now.
haha he did not want to answer the question about black coaches. I'm sure he's tired of it by now.
Jeff Howe of 24/7 just posted this regarding 2015 OT Ronnie Major: "He's finishing up his school requirements. No longer a matter of if, but rather when based on what he's told me."
Fat Guy News.
Yes, good. More.
Need more fat guys on both sides of the ball... I've been a spurstalk lurker since 2007 and my first comment is on the Longhorns message board. I have problems
Best news all day, Ronnie is a guy that would have been ranked much higher if he wasn't such a grade risk. Getting him in is like getting another 4'star lineman
Yep, also nice to see a kid not backout when extra work is needed to achieve your goal..Good job kid
Inside Texas reporting TE Peyton Aucoin is on his way home and should make a commitment within a week.
The feeling is UT will beat out Florida.
