Dude just didn't have spirit or spine when it mattered. It was Danny, Manu, Simmons, Mills tbh. Yes he got some offensive boards.. but boy his offensive game is ugly
I normally don't do this, but I have to give that guy dabom credits for this thread.
Win well earned.![]()

Loved the Harden flail after the block. That guy's flop response is automatic.
And your boy Patty had a great game.![]()
Absolutely unreal. Last 8 minutes without our two best scorers/distributors and the best defender in the league, and we win against this Rockets squad in a tight game.
Hopefully Manu kicked Pop in the balls when he asked to be carried too.
Don't worry. Danny and Manu have got game 6.
I don't know if I got strength for another GT.![]()
Good tbh
Houston using a 7-man rotation
Same old Mike Dantoni
The perfect partner for Kawhi would be a young Gary Payton, at the peak of his powers, and the rebounding demon years of Rodman, tbh
The Spurs better retool in the offseason....
this current coaching staff has not made the NBA Finals?????
The Spurs priority in the offseason should be the DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG TALENT,
and NOT a 60-win season..............
I think Simmons deserves a 3 year contract from us.
Nice win OP. Cost SA Kawhi, but what can you do? Sucks that the first time my internet in Europe sucked was for this game. Missed a great one.
On 21 shots, 2 missed FTs to start OT, and a turnover in the post after two offensive rebounds on an extended possession late in OT. He also missed some bunnies and a couple of make-able jumpers. I'd give him a 5/10, he did play 42 minutes and have + 4, there is a value in that but Mills, Green, Manu, and Simmons were more valuable tbh.
And that's why with all the I keep getting for it, I've been saying that LMA has been better than people think. That he is able to go in there, play 40 minutes, force double-teams get offensive rebounds and fight his way to a decent line is much more significant than people want to admit. He had a TO and might have been screwed on a put-back. But the team would have lost without him, and frankly that's been the case in five of the seven wins the Spurs have had this post-season.
lol at the team would've lost without him, you paid the guy 20 million, restructured the offense around him and kawhi, play him for majority of the game, if he's an nba level player he should produce more good than bad no matter how negative he is
I wasn't exactly glowing about his performance, he wasn't a train wreck but he wasn't Game 1 and Game 2 WCSF LMA vs. OKC. It's amazing to see how far he's fallen off.
