Ya he is. If he's on a team with a system where he can play minutes with the ball in his hands, he's fine especially during the regular season. He shouldn't be getting nearly as much playoff PT as he's getting, especially as an off the ball player, but he clearly belongs in the league.

I don't think the Blazers have led going into the 4th at all in this series. Yet they're up 3-1 overcoming those 9-13 point leads midway through the 4th. Amazing.

No team can be a serious contender with Lin as its 6th or 7th best player.

Lin is fine in a bench role where he doesn't have to go against solid defenders. He's just a bad fit with Harden since he needs the ball to be effective. He obviously shouldn't be trusted in closing situations when the pressure picks up but he'd be a fine bench player if he wasn't so overpaid.
