Yes it's possible.
Im not.
He knows Duncan is our man.
And happens to play his position.
Pau may legitimately think he is the missing piece for the bulls.
And here he is icing... no one wants to be icing, people lick at you.
Yes it's possible.
Pau plz not with OKC![]()
This dude will be waiting for a long time if that's the case.
What is the over/under of a 100 pages by noon Saturday?
I never get my hopes up for big name free agents rumored to sign with Spurs.
Nor do I. See this happen way too many times only to have hopes dashed.
Berry, Finley, and Diaw were the last ones that I can remember the Spurs getting.
Michale Finley, Boris Diaw, Damon Stoudamire and Nick Van Exel were all considered big name FA at the time they signed here.
So did I but you can still feel his presence.... The Golden God
Exceptions to the rule.
And let's not forget Jefferson.
On second thought....
yes and no. yes they're "big" names but they were all either at the end of their primes or past their primes.
So is Pau.
Kind of like 34 year old Gasol?
Diaw was 30.
Finley was 32.
Stoudamire was 34.
Van Exel was 34.

From ESPN:
Doesn't seem like a lock whatsoever.Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com's Ramona Shelburne late Friday that a sign-and-trade arrangement had not been struck, with the Lakers still looking for draft compensation -- as they received in Friday's earlier trade with theHouston Rockets to take back the contract ofJeremy Lin -- as the primary return for Gasol.
ESPN.com reported earlier Friday that the Bulls and San Antonio Spurs had emerged as the two leading candidates to land Gasol, with San Antonio poised to land the Spaniard if the Bulls and Lakers could not finalize a sign-and-trade deal.
Sources told ESPN.com late Friday that the Bulls were prioritizing their pursuit of Gasol even ahead of their long-running efforts to sign Carmelo Anthony, fearing that Anthony is likely to stay with the New York Knicks.
At this point in their careers, is Pau any better than Diaw? I know he has more length, but other than that?
To get Marc Gasol.
So the question now is...who would want to take old man Nash's god-awful contract?
Agreed. I didn't say anything differently.
Nick Van Exel was 34 years old and coming off the worst season of his career before signing with the Spurs. It was the last season he ever played.
Damon Stoudamire was 34 years old and barely an NBA quality player before signing with the Spurs. He was out of the League after averaging 13 MPG in his one year with the Spurs.
Boris Diaw was coming off his worst year in the League and had just been released by the worst team in the NBA before signing with the Spurs.
Michael Finley is the "biggest" FA signing on your list. He was 32 years old and had just been waived by Dallas to avoid luxury tax. He was a slightly better than average role player who didn't play defense.
None were considered "big name FA" when they were signed. Michael Finley was the closest thing when he picked the Spurs over the Heat.
The Spurs are in a fantastic position here. We don't NEED Gasol. He would give the Spurs unbelievable depth but he would mean way more for Chicago and bring more value. He just needs to decide if he likes the cold weather and outside shot of getting stomped by Spurs in Finals.
Gasol is 34 not 32
I don't understand why the Lakers aren't pushing a s&t for Bonner. Am I overrating Bonner?
You forgot to mention that Pau Gasol has been injury plagued and not played more than 65 regular season games in the last 4 years.
Who said he was 32?
