    You’ve explained nothing.

What is it 18 year olds have that 16 year olds don’t?
The ability to be drafted. But then that's irrelevant to the special class of women.

Why stop there? How about 12?
Clearly a hard arbitrary line has to be drawn somewhere, but it's folly to pretend there's any good reason for where the line gets drawn.

    It's customary, not rational.

According to legend, the ancient University of Timbuktu was known among other things for allowing no one younger than 40 years old to attend, the reason being no one younger than that could possibly be learned and wise enough to contribute meaningfully to such an august ins ution.

Clearly a hard arbitrary line has to be drawn. There still isn't anyone who can explain why 18 is a suitable age if majority and 16 isn't. 16 year olds can marry and I believe they can legally divorce their parents. As previously mentioned, they can be considered adults under criminal law. Why not let them vote?

What have 18 year olds got that 16 year olds haven't?

Apparently, the AOC Quote Clickbait For Conservatives market has gotten so crowded that publishers are now producing high quality graphical treatments to accompany their breaking news stories on everything she says.

it's funny how yall lefty's don't want the spotlight pointed on your lunatic reps like AOC. yall sit here and claim people are obsessed and yet 99% of MSM is covering djt's every move, yall lefty's are here crying daily about djt, and the world is going nuts just because djt beat that hrc fair and square.

yall don't really care about AOC in the grand scheme of things; what yall care about is shining a light on the new dem platform and policies they want to enact when in power. hope more point out the lunacy of AOC and the dems altogether!

Some of her core ideas might unrealistic, but by no means radical (no, she doesn't want to ban air-travel, hamburgers, impose one-child policies, etc, etc). Her tax proposal (which isn't an official proposal, it was something she suggested in an interview), again, is not out of line with the tax structure we had from post-New Deal to pre-Reagan. I don't see how universal healthcare is a radical idea when every developed country on Earth implements a single-payer system with success. Yes, the Green New Deal shoots for the moon, but the fact is we do need to start addressing anthropocentric climate change sooner than later.
