Yes, when they tank for Andre Drummond and trade for Isaiah Austin. Twin Tower ecstasy, the sequel.

at least you have a NBA championship DVD to pass the time during the lockout ...oh wait, no you do not ...
It's not really that far-fetched a notion. Both clubs are on the decline and will have to pull off some slick moves to stay relevant. It's a new age, Killa.

Very unlikely with this core. A lot of things would need to happen to a bunch of other teams for them to have a realistic shot... (ie: Dirk being injured, Pau having a broken heart, ZBo reverting to a lazy dope, Durant having a back injury from the backpack, Lamarcus Aldrige following Oden and Roy footsteps, etc).

    Just an honest assessment.

Down the road, it probably will have to come from another lucky night at the lottery.

lost to the team that just got swept by the Spurs
Rudy Gay chucking his team out of games
OJ Mayo trying to play point guard
Lionel Hollins outcoached by Vinny Del Negro
biggest chokejob in playoff history in Game 1, lost Game 7 at home

Yeah, I think their days as a serious contender for the time being are done, unless they can pull off some amazing trade. They will still be tough and in the playoffs, but can't see them getting past Dallas, OKC, or LA right now.
damn, phil with the prognostication goods..

    Holy n' .

    Goddamn, Lkrfan's curse is powerful.

The seeds for 5 were planted in this thread, with Lkrfan doubting the Hill for Leonard trade and declaring the Spurs officially dead.

Was this before the Kawhi trade? Year sounds about right (2011)...

Down the road, it probably will have to come from another lucky night at the lottery.

Yo ass ain't laughing too much right about nw. Superteam in their prime went 2-2 in the Finals and are currently shining shoes. Ya'll (barely) won one more Finals game than the Lakers did.

this thread and that post were made after the Hill-Leonard trade. the only notable trade the Spurs have made since then was RJ for Jax. not much prognostication, unless thats the trade you are referring to

The 15th pick isn't in the lottery though.

You don't get credit for that one, sorry.

But who cares. in 5 son! Duncan legacy undeniable. Spurs best post Jordan team.

The Spurs just traded an important experienced role player for an unproven rookie
