Typically oxygen (by nadal cannula) is given in the hospital to keep O2 above 92% and is sometimes given at the nurse's discretion. For insurance to cover home oxygen, you have to be below 88%.
This current wave is largely young people. They aren't dying, but still requiring hospitalization. That alone should tell people that this isn't like the flu. 20 and 30 year olds don't get hospitalized for the flu.

They have given him Mucinex and offered him optional oxygen (he declined).
this isn't how hospitalizations are occurring. But keep gossiping.
Gossipy gossip right heye
In don't think we will see as much deathrate as NYC. Looks its younger ppl being hospitalized. But those young ppl will ijfect a good amount of their older family members in due time and by fall we will see deathrates soar and old folks being Epsteined.
Also fear a run of over the counter medicines so ppl wont be able to self treat and that will increase hospitalizations.
I also hear china and russian are wrapping up their vaccines.
If this virus is as bad on young ppl as it seems then we all might need to take a vaccine
did ya hear that? Gossipy goo. Taking ChumpDumper place in ghof

351 new cases, two new dead (one in his forties, one in her sixties)
Niremberg says there is a slowdown in the acceleration of cases.
Last week's positivity rate was 22% in Bexar County
Hope that's not due to holiday/weekend reporting. We usually see the es mid week.
Looks like the same thing is happening up here. Hopefully people besides the republican convention goers are taking things more seriously.
Like a quarter of the current hospitalizations here are people 40 and under. We'll know we're ed if they start ramping up Freeman Coliseum or Austin Convention Center for beds.
Hospitalizations still increasing, sadly.
Damn reports of people driving up to New Braunfels and Austin just to get tested.
No need.
Awesome news. Same thing here in Houston. Positivity rate is down from 22% to 11%
Yeah man thise positvity rates man
dang. My neighbor got it at a bible study class wearing masks and distancing. Everyone in the class now has it. Before he was symptomatic he gave it to his wife. She left on a road trip with two friends to visit another friend. Now everyone in the car has it.
Time breathing the same air. Then if people are talking back and forth, singing...
these very efficient spreading incidents seem to involve the same pattern
