Tyus Jones doesn't get the coverage of other point guards, but what he accomplished this year was pretty impressive-- his assist-to-turnover numbers set an all time record at 4.4 APG compared to 0.6 TOV per for a 7:1 ratio! If you extrapolate that out to 100 possessions, that's 10 assists on average per 1.4 turnovers. It won't get him on the highlight reels like slam dunks and blocked shots, but it's a noteworthy accomplishment to play so many mistake free minutes while setting up teammates. In the playoffs so far, Tyus has 46 assists and 11 turnovers.
He had been really good and one of the big reasons for the Grizzlies not needing to depend on Ja in the RS. He’s due to get paid, a FA this summer.

When Jackson lines up for a bomb it reminds me of an uncoordinated 5th grader trying to make a layup, but then swish. Even though dubs are still favored I think Memphis’ energy can play a part. We’ll see
Jaren is still only 22 years old and getting better. He missed most of his 3rd season and a big sizable chunk of his second due to injuries. I think that may have set him back in his development. I had him as a candidate for MIP this current season but perhaps that was too much of an expectation as he missed most of last year to injury. Next season he might make a big jump and that would truly make the Grizzlies a playoff monster. I really like that team so I am rooting for him but he’s frustrating to watch because he’s obviously talented but unrealiable and let’s the emotions of the game get to him sometimes.

I don’t think he plays that well in GSW again (like foul trouble and Draymond baiting him could get his mind out of the game), but if he does I’ll take that as the player maturing. So long as ge plays well the Grizzlies have a chance. He’s that talented, one just can’t rely on it yet.

I take back my criticism of Ja winning MIP. The dude is improving his team like crazy sitting on the bench

Nah, Adams isn't doing anything wrong. Green is just a clown.
I was referencing this as well…

Memphis played them close the last game and this game they blew them out. The difference maker I would say is Adams. He is not allowing the Warriors to get second chance points like they did throughout this series. GSW should close them out in game 6 but if they don't they will lose the series.
This is a great point. He caught the COVID and was out for the first couple of games. The first round KAT made him unplayable but GSW doesn’t have a big that can do the same thing here. In fact he was noticeably sagging of Draymond and Looney. They should keep exploiting that advantage until GSW figures things out. Maybe they will go to Bjelica more. Also Otto Porter has been very bad.

    All part of the plan…

warriors get enough help early in series to get a commanding lead…
    opponent fights back…

    game 6-7

warriors make their final push and take series after opponents fight uphill, injuries, refs, suspensions
brooks suspended- green NOT suspended for same level foul)

dubs win at home next game

grizz face long “what could have been” off-season

Kind of interesting that the Western Conference teams all seem to hate each other and are chippy, the Eastern Conference teams are pretty civil.

I feel kinda bad for Philly, they've had terrible luck with injuries...

But they also have James Harden and him, so pile it on Miami.

They are not really any antagonizing figures on the Eastern Conference teams. You can say Embiid but he is not that antagonizing. Jimmy Butler also isn't that antagonizing since he has a lot of respect for Embiid. With the Celtics and Bucks they don't have anybody that's really hateable on both sides.

In the West you have antagonizing figures. Booker is smug, CP3 has always been antagonize and also Luka likes to yell and troll his opponents. So that results into a lot of tension on both sides. The Warriors are also a smug bunch with the dirty antics of Draymond along with the rest of that team which always results in chippy play.

I picture that slacker having chicken wings and greasy fries at the strip club as "training regimen."
Stoopid moves by owners during and since Houston.

I was going to say this is on Morey for bringing Harden in but no, this is on ownership for bringing Morey in. He showed he wasn't that good at his job in Houston.

Harden underperforming is not surprising. Too bad Embiid injured LDN who had been on fire from 3 at their home arena… come to the Spurs Embiiddddddd

Feel bad for Embiid being surrounded with gots like Coc, Harden, and Simmons. He had one of the baddest years I have ever seen out of a big and no way I blame him for any of this playing through that orbital bone fracture.

Harden with his usual elimination game performance. He‘s a certified loser at this point
