Eh, routine medical procedure. I've done hundreds of those things on males and females between the ages newborn and 90; it's definitely not a pleasant experience but Mr Bey brought more drama than any 8yr old or menopausal female I've ever seen. As far as the politics go, I think it's a ridiculous waste of resources----provide the meals, if they choose not to eat that's up to them and then just do ent it.
Their lives and minds are destroyed, so starving themselves to death like the IRA prisoners in 1981 is very probable, with the inevitable, guaranteed world-wide hostility to USA, which is why Barry won't stop the gavage.

Those poor souls in Guantanamo have chosen to die rather than stay at that Torture Prison, but the government won't even allow them the right to die peacefully.
I had a similar procedure done (insertion of a tube) but they put me to sleep to install it. They had to drain some fluid. So they drained some fluid a few times and eventually pulled the tube out. It was a horrible feeling to have the tube pulled so I can imagine having that tube inserted by force must be 10000x more painful.
It's torture. plain and simple.

I am pretty sure you did not insert it on a person against their will. Just a wild guess.

I was subjected to similar procedure. I did have help of anesthesia, but I still felt when tube was being pulled. Keep in mind the tube was smaller than that one used for Force Feeding
so no, I am going to say I know more about this.

It's standard policy that we do not allow enemy detainees, POW, or prisoners to commit suicide. Not being an ass. But honestly what is the problem? Should we allow them to kill themselves?
