Fvck!
They can tank fine without Forbes
That's quite the strange justification people are twisting themselves into.
Bend over now !
1st 48 hours after news broke: "They HAVE to be making a move! This is about getting Ben Simmons! Or some other star! He's spacing for Simmons! It's obvious!"
Post-48 hours: "They signed him to tank! They're trying to lose! It's obvious!"
Wonder what their excuse will be when we end up treadmilling again with a pick in the 10-13 range next year
Yeah, we already have a bad defender in Walker, who we are still trying to figure out, or give another year. Forbes? Not any mystery there.
is there some official date when we will for sure know the contract details?
i'm guessing right around before preseason starts at the latest?
Imagine if the spurs resigned Richard Jefferson after they traded him. This is how disgusting this is
Too soon tbh
Respect my greatness.

Someone should do an analysis of the worst-rated (defensively) starting guard on each team to see where each stands among the 250 ranked by Nate Silver. There would be 30 such players.
My guess is they would almost all be ranked pretty low defensively among the 250 but it would be interesting to see.
Then see how those rankings correlate to the overall defensive rankings of their teams. Do the teams with the lowest-rated starting guards also have the worst team defenses? It would seem to me that defensive rankings would have be based on opponents' points per game, shooting percentage or points per posession, not some crazy-ass formula that depends upon blind faith in the man behind the curtain, sometimes referred to as "advanced stats" in a rather self-congratulatory way. (But I suppose that's just me.)
My su ion is that the best defenses are more a product of who has the best defenders rather than who avoids the worst defenders.
To analogize to baseball (National League), the teams with the best offenses may not be the ones with the best-hitting pitchers, the pitchers' primary contributions are in a different area. Same with guards who are in the lineup to create offense.
At the very least, it would be interesting to see where each team's statistically worst defensive starting guard (an article of faith to begin with) ranked in the 250.
How can they claim to be 2 time NBA champs.... :

They were NBA champs in 1970-71.

As long as it’s no more than 12 mpg is okay. It’s when Pop started him to space LMA and Demar that was the problem
Forbes got the start when Murray and White were both out with injury. The team was suddenly in a bind for guards.
Or as John Wooden would say to his dying day -- "Lewis-Kareem."
Or as John Wooden would say to his dying day -- "Lewis-Kareem."
These people have been in denial for YEARS now. They will never stop. Now they’re wishfully thinking Forbes will only be getting spot minutes. Dude will be starting and will be getting more minutes than everyone on the roster other than one or two players
It’s a completely different roster, without Demar and Aldridge to space out.
