COVID did this, it wasn't a government mandate.

Coming soon to schools near you.

would be stupid to fly international right now to another hole who dont have covid under control or have the health system to treat you....and travel insurance will only go out of their way to help you to try to keep costs down if it costs to much to have you treated overseas

With 99.9% press vaccinated and a mild variant, is getting serious.

At least the 14 souls there will be wearing ty masks.

Fireworks have killed three people and injured scores others in Europe despite bans being in place against their use.

In the Netherlands, a 12-year-old boy was killed and another seriously injured watching an adult set off a home-made device, local media reported.

And brick and mortar stores and restaurants. Already a number of stores with either limited service or shutting down because of lack of staff here in SA

city has a lot more to offer. better weather.

plus have my whole life there. lifelong friends, extended family.

and while its overpriced, we should be fine once wifey is the breadwinner . im doing fine, and we can get by very easily on one income here (really, less than once income since not only is she not earning, but we're covering most of her tuition out of pocket), would very much need that second income to be comfortable in LA

not set in stone yet but looking like psychiatry, with internal as the backup plan. she's doing an internship rotation in psych this spring to get a better sense of it before the application cycle

With no way to identify Omicron and Delta patients, treatment decisions are vexing doctors.

Most U.S. doctors have no way to determine which variant of the coronavirus a patient is carrying, a distinction that could mean the difference between life and death.

High-risk patients carrying the Delta variant could benefit greatly from two particular monoclonal antibody treatments shown to reduce hospitalization and death.

But those medications would most likely do nothing for patients with Omicron,

who would only respond to a third antibody treatment that is in very short supply.

While U.S. officials have endorsed using a workaround test that can identify Omicron’s genetic signature,

experts say it’s not feasible for large health systems facing a crush of patients to employ in each case.
