Yeas, he would as long as they sign a player that hasn't been waived by another NBA team after March 1st.
Man. It's hard to think they had a backup plan for something like this but I hope they have something in mind. Especially with Diaw out, we need another SF.

Who is eligible to be signed and play in the playoffs now?
    http://hoopshype.com/free_agency/small_forwards.htm

You can also look at the available SGs because some of them can play SF:

And my BSPN app on my phone just now updated. Fare thee well Captain Jack. At least you won't have to worry about being waived off a team that went on to win the 'ship.

maybe Spurs read my post on spurstalk and will go with the big bench
    Diaw at SF
    Splitter PF
    Baynes C

some of the best ball weve seen of Diaw came at SF where he was more aggressive and mentally in check during the game
did a decent job on Lebron

I mean, was Jack on that tight of a leash that one incident (supposedly) is enough for this to happen? What about everything he's been through with the team, Pop and Tim/TP/Manu??? Makes no sense.
He's the last guy I'd expect this to happen to. I thought Blair with his rants on social media maybe? But Jackson, I just can't believe it.

I'd say it was more than one incident.

What in the world did he have a "meltdown" over. It couldn't have been about his contract extension could it? I mean he hasn't brought it up all year, why would he now?

He seemed quite happy to be back with this organization. It really makes me wonder how much that "personal matter" awhile back really affected this. Unless his whole thing about "tears in his eyes" when he got the call from Pop telling him he was coming back, was really a load of BS.

I tend to think whatever Jack did, it was worth the Spurs move. I would give the spurs the benefit of the doubt here. I'm just waiting to see what happened. It will come out one way or another...

    Wow.

Presuming they're all available, I'd think McGrady, Walker, Greene and possibly Brown (they see him as more PF), are candidates. Realistically though, with the possible exception of McGrady, none would be in the playoff rotation anyway.

By and large, they should be able to get away with Green/Ginobili playing backup SF, though. Obviously, this hurts for depth purposes, particularly against Durant/James (if they get that far, of course). But it pretty much guarantees Neal won't be playing PG and it means more shooting/play making in the rotation in general.

Welp, when it's all said and done, this will be the biggest season collapse the Spurs have ever had. Knee they wouldn't win the le, but a Finals berth was well within the realm of possibility. Really ing depressing.

Its really not that bad. Rather not play jax than play version of jax.

What's done is done but this is about as nightmarish of a scenario you could dream up for the Spurs. Key guys injured: check. Playing pretty awful: check. Morale low: check. I mean, I'm not going to even ask "what more could go wr.."
