7th - 8th seed ceiling if Pop uses the right players in the rotation. It's gonna be interesting to see how Lonnie/Keldon/Luka look after 1 year of experience. I could see them finishing 9th in the West though.
Running it back might get you the 8th through 6th seed...but all you are going to do is get your anal cavity hollowed out by the lakers, clippers, or nuggets in the first round...so why would yo want to do that ? You already did it twice in the last 3 years...and the only reason why you haven't done it 3 times in 3 years is cause those same veteran run it back players are no longer good enough to get you to the playoffs...

cause you forgot DeRozan who's the exact opposite
it worked for the Lakers this year and Toronto year prior
Hoping to miss the playoffs again. Next year's draft is going to be a strong deep draft The Spurs will be in position to get a good prospect even with a low lottery pick around 13. The only thing I'm looking forward to this upcoming season is watching the development of the Spurs young players.
Pop will burry walker and keldon at the end of the bench
If we get rid of Belli and Forbes then they will get minutes. It all hinges on not resigning those 2.
Honestly the model now, if you don't have a superteam, is the Miami Heat. Sure, they had Butler, although I'm still not sure how high I rate him. The reason they were killer was plentiful points of attack and dynamic threatening perimeter play.
Toronto was NOT a low post team... LMFAO! Neither were the Lakers...one of the most common criticisms was that anthony davis didn't use his size in the post...simply being a big team doesn't mean you're a post up team
The plan now is continue to lose until pop leaves and Wright is fired. Hopefully that won’t take too long. If it does then the spurs may be sold to a new owner and be on the move to a new city
Everything goes out the window if Brent is resigned, obviously.
I will quit the Spurs if that happens too.
Bro, i thought I was the one going to need to back off the ledge but looks like BackHome needs to come in and calm you down
It's going to be okay
Everyone in this thread is not straight. Except you.
You need to figure out how to get rid of Drunford too.
Thanks. Having a good day. Just stating the obvious. I’m not surprised or shocked about anything the spurs do. The team has had the same issues for a while now.
"durrr team would've easily been like a 6th seed by just removing Forbes out of the equation durrr"
Problem is, that isn't part of the equation. Forbes is the de facto starting SG. The team ended up exactly where they deserved to end up.
The same thing will happen this year.
I am still holding out on a slim hope that we’re able to do some trades that will benefit us in the future and we’ll if that doesn’t happen your welcome to join my “Team Tank” gang
The subtraction of Forbes, Mills, bellinelli and derozan lineups should net the spurs 10+ wins on general principle.
As a die-hard Spurs fan, I would literally love if all of those things happened.
The good news is this team is going to suck again next year and will be in the lottery in a stacked draft.
The bad news is instead being able to watch the young guys develop, the spur will continue to give all the minutes to a bunch of washed up scrub vets who they should've traded for actual rebuilding assets more than a year ago.
This is going to be at least 3 more years of below. 500 basketball. Total mismanagement by the front office.
Let me know when the guy that was giving them all those huge minutes is gone too, then we can start talking optimism
Some here REALLY believe that Forbes won't be here next season.
Las Vegas Spurs baby
My man! That's the dream
People will start to boycott if Forbes starts at sg
