I guess it’s because Tre is out but it’s interesting that they’re using primo as the PG

Primo has that kinda unique shovel pass, like a submariner in baseball.

He defends well, handles the ball, passes well, shoots well . . .

    This might work out.

That was never going to happen. Do catch up.
Well, if it was never going to happen then patfo shouldn't have drafted him at #12 so as to make the spurs look like a bunch of dumbasses.

Why would it never happen? Teams do it all the time and there was an opportunity to pull that off with a few teams.

They are saying on NBA tv that Pop is calling it a retool and they are not rebuilding.
Um Pop...who exactly are we retooling around? Old man Probably still think Timmy is still on the team lol

There was apparently intel that teams wanted Primo just a few picks after 12 so a trade down would have meant losing him.
    They took who they wanted.

I think there was info that other teams liked Primo but whether or not they liked him enough over other players that were still available is another thing. We’ll never know for sure but I’d bet teams would have drafted players like Sengun over him.

He's right. They're retooling around their young guards and wings.

You could very well be right, but a trade down, like old boy was wanting, probably meant they were losing the player they wanted.
