True. Saw Jason terry on fox sports, it was so sweet to watch the little prick have to talk up the Spurs I'm sure he was dying inside.
All I hear from those delusional maverick fans is "we played the Spurs better than anybody" They believe in their twisted logic that it somehow means the mavericks are the second best team in the league!
Anybody with half a brain can see that the Spurs became a totally different team starting with game seven against Dallas. This team stepped their game up in ways that even Spurs fans could not have imagined.
If Spurs played at the level they did against OKC, Portland, or Miami; it would have been a sweep vs. Dallas....but the mav fan just can't see it!
Delusional!!!

where the is that dumb ass troll phillip by the way?
They were the same team. Carlisle is a brilliant coach. And they caught on fire as well. The Spurs lost to the Mavericks in 06. We historically match up well with the Spurs in a playoff matchup.
Hardly. Something clearly changed in Game 7.
It's called the Mavs coming back to earth. Once their shooting cooled off, the spurs had a field day.
I'm starting to believe you didn't even watch the games. Or the rest of the playoffs.
I'm starting to believe you don't understand basketball. There are 2 teams that effect the outcome. The Mavs had a bunch of talent. The fans believed the Mavs could've beaten the Thunder. The Spurs were great to get past the Mavs.
Carlisle actually outcoached POP in the first few games of that series.
I was happy the Mavs won in 2011 and I'm happy the Spurs won this year.
we said the same in '11 when we had the mavs number in the regular season. It's just respectable rivalry talk, get over it. This is even more prevalent when it's college football. Grow a sac, gertrude.
