Clickbait society loves bad news. I'm not ready to put these kids in the "serial killer for fame" barrel just yet. I think the issues are much more complex than show and tell. I think the problem is multi-faceted or a culmination of rejection from the family, friends, and teachers. The value of life is lost somewhere as well. I would be willing to bet though that they are similar to serial killers in that the majority of them exhibited cruelty to animals or a general disregard for compassion or conscience.
