That one does hurt a bit. Not as a DE, he won't be a DE on the next level, he is going to grow into a DT and I think a great one. Good get for them.
I don't know what the f* our current recruiting strategy is but if Aggie's defense is indeed "fixed" (they sure do have the recruiting stars to work with lately) we're going to have a really hard time pulling a ton of guys and they may end up with Brandon Jones, Deontay Anderson, Madubuike, McCullogh, and maybe Elliott since he's a fickle mistress. Essentially, we're still screwing around with 3 star receivers and have needs all over the field and can't get anyone to commit. We do not need anymore receivers. Give it up guys -- jeeeeeze. Relying on flips the last month before NSD is going to bite us in the ass really horribly either now and/or later. Not good. Really hope that 2 Florida LB Shemar Smith and one or more of these WR pans out at Safety because this is getting really ugly really quickly. Few more blowout losses and nobody is going to want to come here. What a mess.
I'll post his full stats when I see them, but 2017 QB Sam Ehlinger supposedly went for almost 300 yards on the ground tonight.

I went to the game. Ehlinger couldn't do anything on the air in the first half. He'd just tuck the ball in and ran. I wasn't impressed with his passing game. I left at halftime, I think that he did better but I didn't see.

Highlights from Higdon's all-day chat:
- Higdon has "as many as 7 recruits" that he is pretty sure will end up at Texas on NSD. Don't expect a commitment from any of them this weekend' though. (lol)
- Norvell's move to OC probably won't pique the interest of any recruits who weren't already interested in us. We're set at the offensive skill positions (QB, WR, TE) and the RB position priorities remain unchanged.
- Jordan ****** will be part of this class on NSD.
- We will land one of either Brandon Jones or Deontay Anderson.
- Shawn Watson is loyal to Charlie and will do whatever he can to help these QB's and this offense.
- Cal will be Heard's coming-out party. Texas has finally found its QB.
- Charlie's ideal situation is to bring the recruits in after the season.
- Christian Wallace won't be the next DB to commit to Texas.
- Texas will finish #1 in the Big 12 in recruiting. Landing Madubuike is a big "shot in the arm" for A&M.
- The staff knew all along it was us vs. A&M for Madubuike. No need to hit the panic button.
- There's a good chance Kendell Jones doesn't take an official visit to Texas ("until I see it with my own eyes.")
- Texas will sign 3 DTs and 2 DEs in the 2016 class. At least 2 of these 2016 kids will start at some point next season.
- There's a good chance Rahssan Thornton decommits from LSU.
TE Donte Coleman of West Mesquite has de-committed from Texas Tech, per his Twitter.
Higdon thinks that Texas won't make a move for him right now.

I don't think Tank sticks with Texas past this year. His group is not performing up to snuff, I'd say they have performed piss poorly this year. If that is the case, I wonder if we can get Bo Davis back or Oscar Giles back. Davis is a guy I really wanted Charlie to hold over.
