trump complains we are showing too many cases because we are testing too many people, even mild cases of sniffles, and then pivots to use those mild cases of sniffles to show a lower case mortality rate. the number of people dying is more important than the case mortality rate. who cares if you have a virus with a 90% mortality rate if only 20 people catch it, vs one with a mortality rate of 1% but where millions are infected.
we've done an abysmal job of containment going back to march. now we're all the way into august, still having well over 1k deaths per day, and people are still ing about ing masks and are begging to reopen the flootgates
