Well, this is make-or-break for my boy. I think he'll sub Cormier without any problems, but Mir has just been SO ty with his stand up defense that just about anyone is scary at this point. If he can handle Cro Cop and Big Country's bombs, you'd think he could handle Cormier -- but after watching JDS make him look like a fat, white punching bag, I'm nervous. If he loses badly, I might be first on the wagon to call for a retirement for Frank. I don't want to become all of Wandy's fans.

This is the card that previews Jones vs Sonnen card and it's awesome we can have 2 gr8 cards in one week span.
let's see how Cormier fits Mir but it looks like Mir gonna get KTFO. No way Daniel will be placed down and his striking is getting better.
I'd say easy trace for Cormier to go down to 205.
Melendez is tough SOB but Henderson is now master of disaster. Two powerful lightweights in a dynamite contest.

- Champ Benson Henderson vs. Gilbert Melendez - Give me a break. Another dumb "Metal Mulisha" disciple to the slaughter. There is something about watching SF fighters, especially the champions, come over and suck huge piles of goat nuts.
- Daniel Cormier vs. Frank Mir - Not gonna lie, I'm scared.
- Nate Diaz vs. Josh Thomson - Can't beat the champ, so they feed him a no-name pussy. I hate Diaz.
- Matt Brown vs. Dan Hardy - Never bet on the -tooth. Ever.
- Myles Jury vs. Ramsey Nijem - Another Utah boy out of The Pit -- can't go wrong here.
UFC must love them some Benson because this is his 3rd UFC on Fox Card. Might be making up for not airing that Benson/Guida fight on 1st card.

Champ Benson Henderson vs. Gilbert Melendez - It will be interesting to see how Melendez fairs against much tougher compe ion, but Smooth has this by UD.
Daniel Cormier vs. Frank Mir - I just can't bring myself to pick Mir.
Nate Diaz vs. Josh Thomson - Easy win for Diaz
Matt Brown vs. Jordan Mein - Mein has scary power and is going to be huge in the UFC. Book it.
Joseph Benavidez v. Darren Uyenoyama - I don't even know who Uyenoyama is (but he has a kick ass name). Benevidez is a contender, so you gotta go with him.

Hopefully the fight hits the ground and Mir can pull off the upset. His chin doesn't hold up very well when up against heavy handed guys but he can sub anyone at HW in the world.. If he gets badly outstruck he doesn't stand a chance..

1 Diaz brother lost now hopefully the other does..

This to me is a clear example of the UFC having too many events BTW.. This is a great card with no hype at all.. UFC put so much into TUF and the Uriah Hall hype that was deflated last weekend.. Jones/Sonnen 1 week later.. It is a shame they lump so many shows in together like this..

Two years ago people were crying about only having one card a month, and now people are ing that there are too many? Judas. I love all of the cards, even if there are no-name fighters on there. I'm finding myself watching more and more of the no-name fights on undercards and in less-known leagues simply because those guys "want it" versus the s that already "have it". It's like college ball versus the NBA; college ball is just so much more fun to watch, even if you don't know a single person on either team. In short, more UFC cards is a great thing.
I can see your point, but at the same time I'd rather have a ton of fights to watch, instead of one a month that I might end up missing for some reason. Also, the fact that most of these cards are free now is a huge bonus. I'll still watch fights even with no hype, even Bellator and the World Series of Fighting.
