Wow. They are doing a trade. They are getting rid of DDR. Some redemption for Wright, I mean, a little bit.
I’ll take it. The first rounder is valuable. Bulls aren’t assured to be good. Demar is gone too.
Looks like a great deal for the Spurs -- quite possibly the sweet spot.
Trash haul, wasted what was left of our cap space on 2 journeyman forwards and a 1st rounder in 2525. About as awful an off-season as a person could imagine.
So that ate up a big part of our capspace tho right?
I'm really, really glad he's gone. And not for nothing as well. But I also don't have anything bad to say about the guy as a person. Just a bad fit for us. Wish him well in the East.
Does this mean no John Collins?
Spurs maintaining cap space for next summer. Thad and Aminu are expiring. There's nobody left this summer and the Spurs could still go get Oubre if they really wanted to.
ATL offered him 5 years $125M which means they aren't far from a deal.
How so?
Spur fan always looking for the coal lining on a deal...
Horrendous. All cap space wasted
Would of preferred two firsts but oh well. Time to rebuild
Knowing these idiots, they're probably done outside of backup PG (Hill?), but this package (with the Spurs including another asset in place of Aminu) could have appeal to the Hawks in a Collins sign and trade.
25/year is on the table. a max offer sheet would net him 30/year and let him hit FA earlier
The picks suck. Like Chicago wouldn't be able to dump those guys for this amount. This trade was so much worse than the Leonard trade.
