It’s not entirely Forbes’ fault, nor Mills. Although Forbes can learn to take charge and not just run away from a speeding dunk with him hands covering the back of his head. Pop is making them play out of character, more than their skills. Forbes is a catch and shoot, that’s all. Mills can score off the dribble, but NOT a facilitator. Say what you want about DeRozan not having what it takes upstairs but he atleast has an NBA body and NBA level athleticism. He's actually elite in both those respects compared to most other NBA players.

Forms has nothing going for him. He's short, slow, cant jump, has a 5'5" wingspan, can't dribble, doesn't even have a quick release. Literally the only thing he can do at an NBA level is shoot but because of all his other limitations he can't even get clean looks most of the time. It's incredible that Pop treats him like he's the third best player on the team, tbh.

Forbes and Mills are . People forget Mills is because he has some good nights sometimes, but the bench had 4 total FTs. Mills flinging the 3 again. What is he over the past 10 games on 3s? 25% or less? It's telling that LMA is destroying Patty from 3, at least in the past few games. If LMA took more 3s I think we'd benefit.

Mills has been at 40-42 3FG; but I think a lot of those threes are coming in transition or on broken plays / second chance kickouts. In the flow of the offense / shots with the clock running down, he is a millstone around the Spurs neck.

I agree. Mills has way more components to his game than Forbes, who is a glorified spot-up shooter.

And although Patty is a defensive liability in most instances, he doesn't own the worst defensive player in the league le (previously owned by Isiah Thomas) like Forbes does.
