The numbers and the assertions do not reconcile with Tesla's financial statements. On average, regulatory revenues make up 2-5% of total automotive revenues. Also, Tesla sold about $100 million in digital assets (presumably bitcoin) from Q3 to Q4. More to the point, who cares if they made money on that sale?
Also, net revenues went from 438MM to 1.14BB in Q2, 1.6BB in Q3, and 2.3BB in Q4 for a total of about 5 billion.
I'm not a tesla fanboy - I actually don't give a . But this is irresponsible and wrong journalism that doesn't even bother mentioning, let alone looking at, the financial statements.
