I hope the team is lottery for as long as Pop is the coach. He needs to be humbled since he's been coaching for his own glory the last few years and not for the benefit of the team. He's also received all the credit for getting the Spurs to the playoffs while guys like Aldridge and Derozan got zero. Pop is aware of all this hence why he still coaches because he knows even with mediocre 7th or 8th seed that he will get all the hype for being a great coach while the players will not get any credit or buzz.

This is unfortunately true. I have always said if Pop had to deal with a Kobe,Lebron,Draymond type he would have been broken in half at the start of his career.
Tried to tell folks that Luka was a bust and needed to stop acting like he was gonna fix anything. The biggest NBA scrubs can put up numbers in the G League.
