I'll try to sneak in my first GTD in what is probably a few years now.

With the Nets, everything obviously starts with their superstars: While Kyrie Irving is back, Kevin Durant remains out.

Both teams are pretty depleted at the wings, with Durant, Luwau-Cabarrott, and Jeff Green out for the Nets, and Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, and Rudy Gay unavailable for the good guys. With Derrick White also remaining out (and with the return of Kyrie), a lot of pressure will be put on on Lonnie Walker to step up defensively... something that hasn't yielded positive results yet.

As both teams are somewhat depleted up front, a lot of eyes will be on Aldridge's ability to replicate his positive results coming off the bench, and whether Samanic can continue showing signs of life, and who knows, give some box score production. The Nets have played very small since trading Jarrett Allen, with Jeff Green having played center. As Green is out, it will be interesting to see just how small Nash's Nets will be willing to go, or if they will just look at the roster sheet and decide DeAndre Jordan will get more run.

Is Keldon out? I thought he was questionable? That would imply that he didn't necessarily test positive and has just been in isolation for precautions. Dunno.

Anyway, I'd expect Murray on Irving and Walker on Harden, though with obviously a lot of switching. I also expect the Spurs to play big as much as possible, and with the Nets missing PF depth, I think it could work out in SA's favor.

My guess is Pop is going to play him tomorrow against NYK since it's a more winnable game

The Nets are a bit of a Jeykll-Hyde kind of team, though they have been playing well as of late.
Spurs need to bring it, play smart and get some lucky bounces to have a puncher's chance. Believe!

Perfect game for inexperienced players (Looking at you, Samanic) to foul out.

keldon went through shootaround today which was promising, but was nevertheless listed out on the injury report

it'll probably be Joe Harris feasting from deep with 10 wide open threes

We got a good chance of winning this one. Walker is actually able to guard Harden somewhat, he’s done well in the past defending the beard. Should be an all you can eat night for LA in the post

This overhyping of Poetl has to stop. My god how can he ever dominate without being able to score.

Defensively. If he scores 10 points but gives you 14 rebounds and 4 blocked shots while shutting down the paint, he's dominating.

Bruce Bowen? Ben Wallace? Poeltl may not yet be in that category but he’s building a reputation as a defensive game changer.

After his one-game absence, Nets guard Kyrie Irving will not have a minute restriction tonight against San Antonio, Steve Nash says.
