His government shutdown from earlier this year negatively affected thousands of Coast Guardmen. The Coast Guard falls under the Department of Homeland Security, who didn't get funded during that 1.5 month shutdown.
Many many junior servicemen and women who already lived paycheck to paycheck suffered during Trump's shutdown over a racist border wall.
Some couldn't pay rent, some lost their homes, some lost their cars because they couldn't make payments, etc. All because of Trump and his racist beliefs, tryna appease his racist base.
He doesn't care about us in the military. Now he wants to use this killing for political gain. SMH at this clown. "Trash" is an appropriate nickname for him.
