    I spend a lot of time downloading some AVI files for Babylon 5 Crusade, and now my windows player (9) won't play the video. There are literally hundreds of video codecs to chose from that may be the one used on any particular file.

    A good program that plays most videos (other than QT, IIRC) is PowerDVD.
