Trump voluntarily dismissing his latest Nevada lawsuit after crying about Nevada on twitter. It’s pretty obvious he’s just using this grift to pay off his campaign debts, while McConnell and co. Go along with it because it raises money for the GOP.

Growing Discomfort at Law Firms Representing Trump in Election Lawsuits

Like many big law firms, Jones Day, whose roots go back to Cleveland in the late 1800s, has prided itself on representing controversial clients.

There was Big Tobacco. There was the Bin Laden family. There was even the hated owner of the Cleveland Browns football team as he moved the franchise to Baltimore.

Now Jones Day is the most prominent firm representing President Trump and the Republican Party as they prepare to wage a legal war challenging the results of the election. The work is intensifying concerns inside the firm about the propriety and wisdom of working for Mr. Trump, according to lawyers at the firm.

Doing business with Mr. Trump — with his history of inflammatory rhetoric, meritless lawsuits and refusal to pay what he owes — has long induced heartburn among lawyers, contractors, suppliers and lenders. But the concerns are taking on new urgency as the president seeks to raise doubts about the election results.

Some senior lawyers at Jones Day, one of the country’s largest law firms, are worried that it is advancing arguments that lack evidence and may be helping Mr. Trump and his allies undermine the integrity of American elections, according to interviews with nine partners and associates, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to protect their jobs.

At another large firm, Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, based in Columbus, Ohio, lawyers have held internal meetings to voice similar concerns about their firm’s election-related work for Mr. Trump and the Republican Party, according to people at the firm. At least one lawyer quit in protest.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Daniel Kiley set a combined evidentiary hearing and oral argument hearing for Thursday at 11:30 am ET (9:30 am local).

In today’s hearing, Thomas Liddy, the attorney for Maricopa County, argued that the total number of ballots in question — those that were flagged for an overvote in the presidential category during in-person voting on election day in Maricopa County -- is approximately 180. The plaintiffs in the case, which include the Trump campaign, Republican National Committee, and Arizona Republican Party, said these ballots were wrongfully dismissed.

“It would be absurd to assume they were all, in fact, overvotes and if they weren’t, were to go to one candidate or the other,” Liddy said.

The attorney representing the Trump campaign, Kory Langhofer, did acknowledge that those 180 votes may not be not enough to make a difference but he also argued that they need more time to gather evidence and that they so far have “hundreds” of complaints.

Liddy also said that plaintiffs are attempting to spur a recount, which state law only allows if the difference is less than or equal to .1%. Non-mandatory recounts — ones that are requested by campaigns or voters — are not permitted under state law.

The Trump campaign has filed a lawsuit claiming that Pennsylvania followed a "two-tiered" voting system. Discrepancies between the mail-in and in-person voting systems created potential violations of the Cons ution, the campaign argued.

"We believe this two-tracked system results in two Cons utional violations: 1) Equal Protection Clause violation, and 2) Elections and Electors Clauses violation," a press release read.

Matt Morgan, the campaign's general counsel, said: “Voters in Pennsylvania were held to different standards simply based on how they chose to cast their ballot, and we believe this two-tiered election system resulted in potentially fraudulent votes being counted without proper verification or oversight, as well as many voters being disenfranchised simply for casting their votes in-person."

Welp, they have 3 days to come up with the rest of "hundreds" of violations... they need a few thousand though.
