Yes or No? If the Spurs win this thing (and I strongly believe they will), should the Spurs retire Horry's number if he retires a Spur?

Gonna be one of the only men to have three teams wanting to retire his number. Houston, San Antonio, and Lakers all owe him something for their rings.

If Avery should get his jersey retired for hitting 'the jumper' (like some here say), Horry deserves it for tonight.

No. Not been here long enough, and 1 great game isn't enough. Remember Kerr had a great game against Dallas too.

But FWIW, I've changed my mind on Horry's HOF credentials. I think he should go in.

He hasn't been with the Spurs that long and he hasn't finished his career yet.

Yes if he goes on to be a Malone..

that's if he retires until he's 40 and he's given us many championships

    Which I doubt.

Didn't the Heat retire Jordan's number?

    A jersey that was a Bulls/Wizard hybrid.

    Highly odd.

If horry plays 2 more years, and then goes into the spurs scouting system or ast. coaching, then I wouldn't have a problem retiring his number. If not, I think the lakers or Rockets would be more suited to hang his #

The Horry-Homer in me voted yes even though I know the answer is no. You need to be a franchise-type player to have your jersey retired. Horry is a role player who steals the spotlight and breaks the hearts of other teams.

Jesus people, if we're going to retire a jersey for every good finals performance we'll run out of single, double, and triple digit jerseys!!! We'll have to give our players numbers like 1403 LOL!! No, he doesn't deserve to have his jersey retired! retiring a jersey had to mean a of a lot more than just a good one-series performance.

How about for a FINALS WINNING performance, im pretty sure we haven't had many players having games that essentially saved the whole season. I think Horry should have his jersey retired, But I think It should be for Houston or LA unless, he makes big shots for another year or two.
