lakers
If you take a look at NBA standings, as of right now, the Spurs have played 8 of their 18 games this season against teams who are currently above .500 (44%). The Lakers, on the other hand, have played 4 of their 19 games against teams who are currently above .500 (21%). Out of the 8 games the Spurs have played against teams above .500, the Spurs have won 6 (75%). Out of the 4 games the Lakers have played against teams above .500, the Lakers have won 1 (25%).
Also, the number of above .500 teams in the NBA is 14 out of 30 (46%).
Basically, anyone saying that the Spurs do well due to an easy schedule need to take a second look since the Spurs record reflects a schedule with a proportion of games against above .500 teams that is consistent with the proportion of above .500 teams in the overall league.
The Lakers so far have a worse record, with a schedule of unproportionately easy teams. Also their wins against their few .500 teams has been rare.
doesn't matter lakers are still a great team....
Already been discussed at length.....

That's true.
The Lakers had one of the easiest schedule of the league to begin the season. And this year they are one of the teams with less back to back games of the league.
It's a nifty stat but unless it can be used to argue that Kobe is better than Lebron and at least as good as MJ I don't think Laker fan will actually find it "interesting."
Another interesting piece of information is that of the 11 championship teams that Jackson has coached, NONE ever had a four game losing streak.
people think these stats are worthless but youd be a moron to think these kind of stats dont let you in on a secret. thats how i know the spurs will either win a le or lose at the WCF but i dont see the lakers even getting that far. i know it sounds ludicrous but if you look at whats going on right now (pau is saying he needs to rest, and that he feels terrible/kobe and his es are not having good chemistry).
bynum being hurt and theres no way he stays healthy that guy is done. i just think the lakers are finally feeling the effects of going to the finals for 3years straight and thats VERY hard on the body.
