Not so good news imo from ISW.

Russian nationalists and the All-Russian Officers assembly is royally pissed at the way Putin has prosecuted this “operation”.
They want it called a war and they want a general call up of men from the entire population. They want the borders with all NATO countries fortified and a much more massive response.

Honestly, it sounds like hard cores in the country might force a more widespread conflict and possibly use weapons that would indeed set off a much larger conflict with Europe. Imo these are the kinds of divisions that start when confidence in a leader is lost. Sounds like the older military guys and ultra nationalist are sick of the mistakes. The other factions that just want it to stop are now met by real extremists possibly. Whole bunch of crap these militaristic types are asking for: execution of all deserters (ie anyone fighting for Russia to be determined by them) who are not fully committed to a “real” war. Whole lot more as well. Might need to keep up with this movement as it seems very dangerous for more than Ukraine. It’s not clear how large this movement is. But it’s present.
