be careful of big sign-up bonuses, I know it's nice to get free money, but alot of books offer those because they need cash because they are behind paying out their customers. I read a bunch of bad reviews about Sportsbook.com so I took what money I had out of there (only like $80)- when I finally got my check 45 days later, it bounced. They couldn't clear a $80 check! To no surprise, I get emails from them every week giving out 20,30, and even 50% bonuses every week.

I used WSEX since then, but have since cashed out and am now using BetJamaica because of their good rating. I am however leery about keeping a significant amount of money in any online gambling account because of the credit crisis going on right now- so I keep my balance at something I don't mind seeing disappear over night.

Remember, betting online is illegal in the US, and thus is is unregulated. It might be regulated in Antigua, Costa Rica, or wherever their business is located- but they could just take anyone in the USAs money and there is nobody we can go to to file a complaint. It has happened at hundreds of books before, and it will happen again. Anytime US customers use these sites it is all in good faith that they will pay, but there is nobody looking over them to make sure they do. Keep that in mind when you decide to plunk over some hard earned money. As payouts get harder and harder to obtain for US customers, this type of shady business will only increase.
