I honestly think Pop is just trying to drive up Beli's trade value. He did that with Gasol last year too. The problem is no matter how much he plays or how well he shoots, nobody is gonna give you anything in return for Belinelli, so it's pointless

The sooner you accept the reality of the situation, the better. The Mavericks are the better team, with the superstar that you won’t be able to crack the code against. I’m not saying you’ll never beat us, you may do it tonight. But just like when the Mavs beat the Spurs, even when they beat them in the playoffs, we still knew in the back of our minds who the big brother was in this rivalry. And now you all will have that same feeling in the back of your minds, for the foreseeable future. And it’s going to suck for you guys to know that, and I’m going to love knowing that you know.

I love these kinds of comments... The amount of hate and anger that drives them is extremely satisfying to see. This guy's been ed over by the Spurs so many times in the past, seen them dominate his team so thoroughly and consistently, that he's developed a serious hatred of them. Oh and I haven't heard anything regarding this being Pop's last season as head coach. However, they sort of had to convince him to coach this season so I imagine this could very be his last. His contract is year to year.
