Wonder what their picks are now re: Ibaka?
tbh if I was a mod I would just delete threads relaying ESPN "Expert" opinions
Wonder what their picks are now re: Ibaka?
Wow. Beyond wrong. What the did they find out between 'probably' this morning and 'out for the duration' this afternoon?
Might want to be changing those Thunder calls, experts.
stein is really the only one i care about the opinion of and he picked spurs
The white analysts are split 50/50 on the Spurs.
Black analysts are 2/3rds in favor of the Thunder.
Legler just said he originally said spurs in 7 now just said spurs in 6
Legler was all Spurs in 7 , but with the news on Ibaka he sees it going Spurs in 6.
I just heard Broussard on the radio and he said he only picked the Thunder in 6 because he can't picture them beating us in a Game 7. FWIW, Scott Van Pelt, who interviewed him, tried to waffle against his initial pick for us to win the Championship, but stuck to his pick in the end and sees us winning in 7. Broussard even mentioned that if Ibaka is out for an extended time (this was before news broke out that he's done for the playoffs) that may hurt us because they'll play small ball and that would take Splitter out the game.
That's dumb thunder small ball is effective because serge is at the c when they go small
Who cares?
Spurs in 5, not counting ref-determined games.
It's a statistical observation. Relax.
That can't be the final update. No one in their right mind would pick OKC now that Ibaka is injured--not even Gutierrez or some other joke analyst.
You're severely underestimating Gutierrez. Anyway, he votes what he wants. He wants a Miami three-peat and knows it's less likely to happen if the Spurs are Lebron's opponent.
No one remembers if you vote with the crowd. They remember if you were the maverick and you're right.
Damn rat looking bas Gutteirez.
Looks like a cross dresser to me. Short hair for wigs, shaped eyebrows, -sucking shaped mouth... fits the bill.
I can see that too.
Gutierrez co-hosts a radio show with Bruce so he gets his daily dose of Spurs basketball. For an outsider he's probably reasonably well informed.
Gutierrez is probably one of the worst basketball analysts who has ever been featured on ESPN. I would honestly trust any spurstalk poster from Kool on up to generate a more coherent analysis than Gutierrez has ever produced in his life.
Nah, he picked the Spurs. It was Thorpe iirc.
agree, mark stein is awesome
