easier said than done, first, what GM wants to help a team that has won 4 les in the past 10 years, none...second, the spurs dont have any attractive contracts which expire.
And go to management and demand they make a trade to improve the team. He needs front court help and the spurs need to make something happen to get him some help or this will be a lost season.

Everybody after Ginobili is . We have nothing to trade.
Yeah...it worked for Garnett in Minny
If the Lakers can get Gasol for table scraps, we can get something out there.
And as to salaries, every team wants cap space in 2010 - let them take some of our expiring 2010 contracts for a player with a longer deal (of course, then our sorry ass front office would have to scrap it's plan to overpay for scraps in 2010).
I agree. Perhaps we could trade Mason for Lebron. And maybe Orlando would have interest in a Howard for Bonner trade. Good idea.
Memo: We are the the San Antonio SPURS. We are neither the Lakers nor the Celtics. The NBA will never give us a "Gasol".
Except Mark Gasol is a legit starting center in this league. Darrel Arthur is looking like a steal, Javaris Crittenton is still a solid trade piece and Memphis still has another Laker 1st rounder coming. Oh, not to mention cap space during the Bron, Wade, Bosh frenzy.
Table scraps? Only a re would call that table scraps. Stop crying just because you're front office is terrible.
