The dead one
That’s some pretty ty spacing tbh. Kobe would be off the bench though. Wtf would I start Kobe over MJ?
If you’re being honest though, in today’s game, you sit one of the bigs. Seriously. Probably Shaq. And to take honesty further, I’d prefer Shaq not on the roster at all in today’s league.
From the 80s to mid 2000s, it would be one of the wings. Michael and Kobe are the two most alike, redundant. And of course, it would be Michael over Kobe.

Did you read the replies to the tweet you posting??? lmao
Guess who mentioned by far the most?
This is comical and part of being a prisoner of the moment.
Shaq is the most dominating offensive force on the team. That's why I'm giving him all the touches on the 2nd Unit
Timmy starts due to his passing abilities.
The moment is exactly what I was getting at. The now.
How the do you play Shaq against the Warriors? The Warriors destroyed the Nuggets by forcing Jokic onto Curry in every critical, late game PNR. Do you not think Shaq would get exploited even worse than Joker? Probably for most of the game too just to get him fouls and force him to the bench. Uptempo game. Three point happy style of play. Positionless offense. Excploiting big men in the PNR who can’t defend guards. For as dominant as Shaq is offensively, he kills an open, uptempo style of play for both teams. And he’s essentially useless to the point of detrimental on defense.
In today’s league, Shaq is a rich man’s Enes Kanter. And I’m not joking or trying to be cute. I fully 100% believe that.
Jokic and Embiid finished 1-2 in the MVP and are each significantly worse than 1995 Shaq, 1995 Hakeem, and 1995 David Robinson lmao
Prime Lakers Shaq, and his 350 pound body, cannot guard in today’s league against the better playoff teams. He could easily dominate offensively much of the league, on most nights. But he would not be able to defend or keep up with the pace of the league. The slowest teams in today’s game, the Mavs, the Knicks, still play at a faster pace than the 2000-02 championship Lakers teams. Those are the slowest team now. The faster teams now put 2000-02 Lakers Shaq on an oxygen mask after a couple minutes, nevermind what they do to Shaq in the pick-and-roll.
In the playoffs, the old adage that the game slows down is not completely true anymore. Playoff teams still play fast in the playoffs. And smallball line-ups exploit slow big men in the pick-and-roll to the extreme. Smallball and the tempo of most teams offset Shaq’s dominance on offense. Hakeem and David Robinson would be able to play at this speed and defend in the modern game. They weren’t 350 pound fatasses that only played one end of the court. And Admiral especially could run up and down the court.
Jokic is not a good defender in today’s game and he’s still miles more equipped to defend now than prime Shaq would be. I would want Shaq nowhere near my roster if I was putting together a team in today’s league.
While you are correct the Jokic example isn't fair. Rank the Top 12 players in that series and how many do Nuggets have in the upper half? Nuggets didn't have the personnel to flip the matchup especially late in games.
Half of those guys were on the Olympic team together. Durant destroyed. Kobe, not so much.
Why were Durant and Kobe there? They aren’t too 10 talent.
Duncan & Bird are in the same boat. Supporting cast is underrated. Versus the Laker boys
Larry & Tim vs Magic/Kareem & Kobe/Shaq
Duncan and it's not even close, I'd not even have him come off the bench tbh
Jordan would be decent 6th man ngl
Olympic smack? kay
