The political landscape of this country and its two party system has a long history of both sides being stupid, uncompromising, and self-righteous. Everyone’s wrong and everyone’s an asshole tbh. There is no happy middle anymore. You’re either a left asshole or a right asshole. But at least that’s one unifying thing everyone can share. We’re all assholes.
I’m definitely left leaning. But a lot of the extreme “left” ideology that gets pushed, especially the trivial like “oh no, she said ‘light skinned’ or he said ‘that’s a nice skirt’” definitely feels like overreaction woke theater. It’s getting harder and harder to filter through the genuine outrage stories from all the garbage thrown at us everyday. Is Asian hate crime a serious issue? Sure it is. Should we persecute and cancel a public figure who might say “ in the armor” on a topic that has nothing to do with Asians? Absolutely not. I see the criticisms of cancel culture and some are definitely valid.
The right, well, I can’t even deal with them really. If the left extreme is disingenuously self-righteous, a lot of the right extreme just seem to be stupid mother ers, like bird dumb ing morons. There’s no saving them.
I don’t know what the right thing for the MLB was to do. I probably would have left it alone. Maybe send out a press release talking about having serious internal discussions on what they could do to support voting rights. I don’t know that moving the game actually accomplished anything for voting rights. But again, I don’t know.
All I know is that everyone’s an asshole.

Fact is Colorado and Michigan are two birds of a feather, I've spent significant time in both and both love hunting, guns and weed, cool weather outdoor activities etc. but now that weed has been passed and the GOP stopped caring about it, the attention turns to preserving gun rights and the 2nd Amendment and preserving hardworking jobs and affordable housing... all GOP issues.

Not racist, courted many women and know both of those states and spent serious time in both. Have had sex with girls in MI and spent months out of my childhood in CO Springs and Aurora.

She is. They moved to Salt Lake City metro area (just across the WY border) to be with her uncle and grandma and other family there though. So I haven't seen the baby in person since Feb

Yes, there are gun rights zealots and right/white leaning folks in Michigan. But Michigan is pretty polarizing. About 10 million population BUT roughly half of that is metropolitan Detroit, which is heavily democratic. Michigan is a major swing state for precisely that reason. It can teeter-totter either way depending on the candidates, the economy, heck the way the wind blows that particular day.
I could believe some shenanigans could have happened at some of the poll stations. But I don’t believe the massive voting fraud alleged. As I don’t believe there’s was any massive fraud anywhere in the country. You want to say there were dozens even a hundred examples of voting fraud throughout the entire country, I would not doubt it, would not fight it. You want to claim there were hundreds of thousands of examples or more that would have change the outcome of entire states and ultimately the overall nationwide results, I don’t believe it. Not for a second. Not even a little bit.
